You’re a first time parent and drowning in information on what to learn, buy and how to prepare for the birth and arrival of your baby. It’s overwhelming. Everyone has some advice for you. The more you hear, the more confused you get. Well-meaning moms tell you that labor was hard, or that it was surprisingly easy for them, that the pain was unimaginable, or the pain was manageable, “just get an epi early”, or postpartum was hard, or postpartum was amazing, breastfeeding was difficult and painful, or breastfeeding was easy.
I have news for you — there’s some truth in all of it.
Pregnancy, birth, postpartum and breastfeeding can be any of these experiences, especially if you’re winging it.

“Regina has provided invaluable insights and multiple resources throughout my pregnancy journey, deriving from her deep knowledge in numerous areas pertaining to pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and childcare.”

Would you want to run a marathon without any planning or training? I hope not! Will you be guaranteed to finish the marathon if you planned and properly trained for it? Highly likely.
Taking a childbirth education class prepares you for what is coming, what to expect, how to anticipate and navigate the bumps and teaches you practical tools.
“Regina was very informative, knowledgeable and full of passion when she taught us Childbirth Education. We felt very confident going into labor.”
– Rob
Unfortunately, I see a gap in the current childbirth education classes. There is one thing no one talks about, yet it has the ability to assist you in a positive and successful labor! Most classes, regardless of their length, focus on giving you various amounts of information on late stages of pregnancy, labor, delivery, postpartum and breastfeeding. Information of course is good, however based on my experience, you won’t retain most of it, and information alone likely is not going to get you the desirable outcome.
Your mindset is capable of either helping you succeed or not. This is where EmpoweredBirth Childbirth Classes are different. I’ll give you all the necessary information in a condensed format as well as help you prepare your mind for labor, birth and beyond.

Imagine not only walking away with printouts to help you recap on the most important information on labor, breastfeeding, newborn care and postpartum, but having a strong mindset that can help you through labor and into parenthood. All information presented is science-based and based on the Lamaze International Six Healthy Birth Practices.
